Bag Making Workshop

Learn how to sew a handy little bag

You will learn how to:

• Cut the fabric and lining
• Sew in a zip
• Sew, turn and mitre corners
• Box out the bag

All fabrics and zips will be provided and of course tea and cake too!

You will need to bring along your sewing machine, including a zipper foot and a neutral coloured sewing thread.

Classes are taught in Sunninghill with a maximum of 6 students per class.

Dress Pattern Studio Workshop

Have you ever wondered where to start when it comes to making an item of clothing?

I will help you to take the fear of dressmaking and show you how to begin this very exciting journey. Soon you will be sewing your own wardrobe.

In this workshop I will show you how to take your own body measurements, learn how to read a sewing pattern, learn how to lay out a pattern onto fabric and how to cut out the fabric.

Please note that this a “theory” workshop, where I will take you step by step through the process.

There will still be tea and cake though!

Classes are taught in Sunninghill with a maximum of 6 students per class.

Indian Wood Block Printing

Learn the ancient art of wood block printing.

This workshop will teach you the basics of Indian Woodblock printing. Have a play on some practice fabrics before designing your own and very unique tea towel.

You will be able to print 2-3 tea towels. I would like to encourage you to bring along some garments which we can print too. Give your wardrobe a new look!

All materials will be provided as well as tea and cake.

We will be working with fabric paint so please bring along an apron to protect your clothing.
